Olivier Brandicourt
President and General Manager, Primary Care Business Unit

Olivier Brandicourt is President and General Manager of Pfizer's global Primary Care Business Unit, an organization with $22 billion in revenue and Pfizer's largest business. Under Olivier's watch, the BU has been implemented in 16 markets across Primary Care Europe/Canada, Australia/New Zealand (PECANZ), as well as Korea and Japan. The U.S. Regional Business Unit model and Medicines Development Group structures were also launched earlier in 2009.

Olivier is leading the evolution and growth of a Primary Care Business Unit model that will reinvent how Pfizer partners with customers, develops products, and improves life for patients and communities. The model is predicated on using customer insights as the foundation for brand strategies, including pipeline products and marketed assets; bringing greater value to customers through local and tailored strategies; and delivering comprehensive healthcare solutions that go beyond medicines, and include knowledge and services that are valuable to physicians, payors, patients and caregivers. In Primary Care, the continued development of pipeline assets in areas such as pain and Alzheimer's is also a priority, and supports Pfizer's commitment to finding medicines that millions of patients need.

Before assuming his current position, Olivier led Pfizer's Specialty Care Business Unit and played a critical role in setting the strategic direction and priorities for this business. Previously, he led Pfizer's Pratt Business Unit as Senior Vice President/General Manager, where he was responsible for Pfizer's cardiovascular portfolio in the US, representing approximately $6 billion in annual revenues.

Prior to these roles held in the US, Olivier was Managing Director of Pfizer's UK/Ireland subsidiary, successfully leading the organization through the merger of the local subsidiary of Pharmacia in 2003.

Olivier joined Pfizer in New York in 2000 as Regional President of Latin America and assumed the role of Regional Vice President of Central and Southern Europe in 2002. Prior to that Olivier was with Warner-Lambert.
