  • Provided 77 training sessions on improving EHS performance at supplier facilities throughout China, India, Latin America and Europe since 2007.
  • During 2009, 107 onsite assessments of supplier facilities were completed, with additional visits to closely monitor performance and verify targeted improvements.

supplier facility assessments graphAssessment of 400 supplier facilities identified approximately 10 percent as requiring corrective actions to lower risk. Facilities requiring improvement are visited frequently to monitor corrective action plans. Depending on risks identified, we engage Pfizer's coaching and capacity building programs, along with development of exit strategies to alternate suppliers.

Pfizer is notified or made aware of EHS incidents within the supply chain. In most cases, Pfizer reviews incident investigations to understand root causes and corrective actions. Where possible, Pfizer EHS colleagues visit suppliers for to verify investigation findings and provide needed guidance.
